The XSTAT 30 is a revolutionary and new product on the market geared towards American military branches. The device is a syringe shaped device which houses a large number of compressed mini sponges. The device is demonstrated in the video above as being capable of absorbing large quantities of water within seconds of activation. The pressure exerted by the sponges during expansion is shown to be larger than that of the blood trying to escape. As a result it essentially acts as a tourniquet to stop bleeding until later medical treatment can be administered.
